Red Semi Cut Crease Tutorial (Instagram makeup trend)

9:51 AM

Hey my loves!
HOWWWWW have you been? I literally haven't written here in what feels like a lifetime but realistically speaking, I think it's been a month. I've missed creating and editing and interacting so much but I had to deal with so many 'life stuff' over the past few months that blogging was out of the question impossible! There was just no time and when there was some time, I was stressed out beyond belief! But I am finally, FINALLY here, after fighting and surviving many mental hurdles, with a brand new tutorial on this gorgeous Red Semi Cut crease look so let's get started!

Red Semi Cut Crease Tutorial (Instagram makeup trend): The Veiled Artist
Here's what you'll need:
  1. Matte peach eyeshadow
  2. Matte red eyeshadow
  3. Shimmery pale pink eyeshadow
  4. Gold eyeshadow
  5. Mascara
  6. Eyeliner
  7. Falsies
Step 1
After priming your eyelids, blend the matte peach eyeshadow into your crease and a little above it. This will serve as our transition shade because bright matte shadows such as the red we will be using today can sometimes be quite difficult to blend.

Step 2
Next, pat and apply the matte red eyeshadow all over your mobile eyelids and blend the top edges into the peach in the crease.

Step 3
Using a damp flat brush, pick up some pale shimmery pink shadow and cut your crease halfway as shown below. Next, pick up a little more of the same red shadow and blend out the outer half of the pink we just applied.

Step 4
Pop some of the same shimmery pink eyeshadow into the inner corners of your eyes using a smaller detail brush or even your finger.

Step 5
This step is a little risky and I wouldn't recommend it if you have sensitive eyes but using a damp brush, apply some of the red eyeshadow onto your lower waterline and then onto your lower lashline. If you have sensitive eyes, you can use a matching eyeliner or even red lip liner on your waterline.

Step 6
Once again, using another damp detail brush, pick up some gold eyeshadow and use it as eyeliner, as shown below.

Step 7
Line your upper lashline using your liquid or gel liner but simply follow the natural shape of your eye and don't bother with a wing. Next, curl your lashes and apply mascara.

Step 8
For the final step, pop on a nice fluffy pair of falsies and you're done loves!! I used the Huda beauty lashes in Samantha because I love how it compliments this look!
