LA Girl Eyeliner Pencil Review and Swatches |
Hey my loves!
How was your weekend? Today I will be reviewing the LA Girl Matte Pigment Lipglosses in Secret and Bazaar.
What LA Girl claims..
Blurring the lines between lipstick and lip gloss, Matte Pigment Gloss has become a favorite of makeup artists, bloggers and fans. Available in 16 bold shades that provide rich and intense color in a flat finish for all day wear. The long wearing formula goes on as a highly pigmented liquid and dries to a flat matte finish, for a gorgeous velvety perfection that last and lasts.
Price, Quantity and Packaging..
Each gloss costs $6(900LKR) and you get 5g of product. The product is packaged like every other liquid lipstick. I love the applicator on this! I feel like it's a little sturdier and firmer.
But I have to add, even though you can kind of see the colour of the product through the packaging, I find that the colour you see isn't really accurate. The shade bazaar is a lot more bright when applied compared to the shade it looks like in the packaging and Secret is a lot darker than it's colour in the packaging.
The cap with the applicator screws on very securely and tightly making this great for travel. It will not pop open like regular lipsticks like to do sometimes and then you find yourself staring at the insides of your purse that looks like a five year old used your lipstick as crayon and drew a fun art project.
My thoughts..
First of all I don't really know why LA Girl included the word 'gloss' in this product's name. It's a matte liquid lipstick you guys. There's nothing glossy about them at all! They take about two minutes to fully dry and are super pigmented! And I feel like since a little goes a long way, the 5g of product you get will last you a long time!
The formula is creamy and easy to apply. But when it dries, Lord is it matte! I have normal lips, they're not really dry and these lipsticks definitely emphasize all of the lines on my lips. But I feel like that's the price you have to pay if you want to rock matte lips.
I am yet to try a matte liquid lipstick that isn't drying. They're long lasting but do wear off from the inner parts of your mouth if you're eating.
The shade Secret is my fav out of the two. It's a gorgeous deep red shade! It is really easy to top up as well. I've tried liquid lipsticks that bunch up and peel when you want to top it up, but the shade Secret does not do that. It looks freshly applied when you reapply.
And the shade Bazaar is a neon pink shade on me. I looked at a lot of swatches online when deciding which shades I want to try and Bazaar looked like a gorgeous nude-ish pink shade. Haha but I see zero nude pink when I wear Bazaar on my NC44 skintone.
I only see a very loud, screaming NEON pink shade. But it looks great on much lighter skintones! Also, I don't know if this is because Bazaar isn't the shade for me, I feel like the formula is drier compared to Secret. I've tried to use a nude lipstick over this to tone it down a little and it just looks horrid and my lips look extra wrinkly!
Pros
Would I recommend this?
Definitely give it a shot! I suggest you try swatching the shade you want to buy if you're able to or look at a lot of swatches online before buying them. Don't trust the colour you see in the packaging.

Hey guys!
I hope you're having a great day so far:) Today I will be reviewing the L.A. Girl Glazed lip paints in the shades Blushing and Pin-up.
What L.A. Girl claims..
Our intensely pigmented Glazed Lip Paints give the appearance of a lipstick with the ease and glossy finish of a lipgloss. The Glazed Collection includes 18 trendsetting colors that provide hyper glossy and ultra rich color to lips. Added benefit of the formula includes vitamin E and peppermint oil to cool and nourish lips. Applicator with precise tip is provided for smooth and even application.
Price, Packaging and Quantity..
Each lip paint costs $5 and you get a whopping 12mls of product. The lip paints come in a squeeze tube with a gold lid. I feel like the packaging was inspired by the too faced melted lipsticks. It also has a nice slanted plastic applicator that I quite like! The colour of the packaging is the exact colour of the product inside so it is really easy to spot and grab the shade you're looking for.
My thoughts..
I love this product. It is definitely not long wearing like matte liquid lipsticks and will completely disappear after one good meal. Like LA Girl claims, it is basically a lipgloss but with an insane amount of pigmentation. It's a super opaque formula that is really easy to top up. The cooling effect from the peppermint oil in the formula is extremely subtle. I'm not a huge fan of a tingly sensation on the lips.
I feel like this is a very easy product to use.The squeezable tube packaging and the lid that shuts really well makes this perfect to keep in your handbag, so you can reapply after a meal. And since these lip paints are super pigmented, you do not have to worry about your lip's natural pigment showing through if that's something you're concerned about.
However, since it is a very glossy formula and never actually dries down, it may transfer onto your teeth or glass. So make sure you do the thumb technique after applying it, so you can remove the excess lipstick from the insides of the mouth and use a straw if you don't want it to get on your glass.
The shade blushing is a mauvy purple shade on me. It's a perfect everyday shade that looks good with a lot of different eye makeup looks.
The shade pin-up looks like a bright cherry red on me. I've noticed that it looks more crimson on everyone else haha. Or rather more orange-y.
Pros
Cons
None
Would I recommend this?
Yes totally give it a shot! Especially if you want a lip product that gives a lot of colour but still feels light on the lips. And if you're unable to find this where you live, check ebay or amazon out!
Hope you enjoyed this review!!
Take care

Hey guys!
Hope you're having a good day! Today I shall be reviewing some LA Girl lip liners that I have been using a lot. Namely the shades Cabaret, Rose and Party Pink.
What LA Girl claims?
Get great lip definition with our lipliner pencils. With the most extensive color selection available, you will have the variety you desire all year round.
Cost and Packaging..
It costs $3 (450LKR) per liner on the LA Girl website which is already very affordable but you can definitely get it for cheaper with the many deals floating around. I really like the simple packaging of these. The colour of the liner is easily visible so you can see exactly which one you're grabbing. I also like that it doesn't break easily and can be sharpened with a regular sharpener. Oh and it's also got a lid haha. They're perfect for travel. I find that the twist up type pencils can't handle Sri Lankan heat well and like to melt in my makeup bag when it's sunny.
My thoughts..
I really enjoy these liners!! Especially the shade Cabaret. I love me a good wine/brick red shade. These liners go on easily and are super pigmented, just like all of LA Girl's products. The consistency is quite dry so if you're looking for creamy liners you may not like this. But when it comes to lip liners, I personally love slightly drier formulas that don't tug on the lip because they last so much longer. I've had most of Cabaret last on me through one full meal.
Which is pretty impressive considering the fact that I wore it alone without any lipstick AND considering how much I ate lol. There are 48 shades available you guys!! That's crazy! You are sure to find a colour you love in this range.
Pros and Cons
Pros..
Cons
None!
Would I recommend these?
Totally! You should definitely try these out. They're also amazing for makeup artists who are just starting out and don't want to splurge on lip liners.
Thank you so much for Reading!
