New Year's Eve Makeup Look(Black and Gold Glitter Smokey Eyes) & A Little Message

12:06 PM

Hi my loves!
How has your day been? I can't believe the year is almost over. 2017 went by so fast that it doesn't even feel like the END OF A YEAR! Anyways, today's post isn't like my usual tutorial. I just created this gorgeous glittery look with New Year's Eve in my mind to serve as makeup inspo for you guys but I'm still going to quickly talk you through the steps I took to achieve this Black glittery look with pops of shimmery gold and green eyeshadow. If you want an actual holiday tutorial though, I have THREE holiday makeup tutorials up haha! You can check them out here.

New Year's Eve Makeup Look(Black and Gold Glitter Smokey Eyes)
  • Blend a warm brown shadow into your crease and a little above it.
  • Blend a deep taupe shade directly in your crease.
  • Prime your eyelids with a black primer or creamy black pencil and then set with a matte black eyeshadow.
  • Apply glitter glue all over your mobile eyelids and then carefully pack the glitter onto your eyelids.
  • Do your winged liner, apply mascara and add lashes!
Black and Gold Glitter Smokey Eyes
  • Blend the same warm brown eyeshadow we first used in the crease, all along your lower lashline.
  • Next blend a medium green, shimmery eyeshadow onto the outer half of your lower lashline, making sure to keep the shadow closer to the lashes.
  • Finally, blend the shimmery gold shade into the inner corners of your eyes and also the inner half of your lower lashline, keeping it close to the lower lashes, just like we did with the green shadow.

And that's it loves! That's how I achieved this look! I hope you found this quick post helpful. I have been quite busy this week as someone very close to my heart fell ill so I had to take a long trip to go visit her but by God, all is well now.
