Today I will be reviewing two body lotions that I have wanted to talk about for quite some time now! Earlier this year, Iris Garden was kind enough to send me their super popular body lotions, the Fuller’s Earth with Shea Butter Moisturizing Body Lotion and the Rose with Shea Butter Body Lotion, to test out and review and let's just say I have had more than enough time to form my thoughts on them haha considering the fact that we're now in December. Before we get started however, I do have a little disclaimer!! I just want you guys to know that whether a product is sent to me or if I purchase them myself, my reviews are and forever will be based on my own opinion and experience. I'm here to spill the tea, so that I can help you save your coin or find a great product! So let's get started!

Price, Packaging and Quantity..

Both body lotions cost 1590/-LKR ($8) each and you get a good 200mls of product. The lotions come packaged in a simple transparent bottle with a black pump. Personally I like that the bottles are transparent because I can easily see how much product I have left and when I need to make a repurchase. The pump can also be locked making it super convenient to pack while travelling.

My thoughts..

I'm going to start off with my favourite of the two, and that is the Fuller's Earth lotion. I absolutely LOVE how soothing the scent is. Something about this scent gives me 'freshly showered - clean' vibes and I'm HERE for it, especially on a hot humid day. But the scent of the Rose with Shea butter lotion however, I could never get myself to like.

Although I don't mind SOME fragrance in my body care products, I strongly dislike anything too strong and unfortunately, this particular lotion straight up smells like perfume. However, while I was doing my research on it, I did find that a lot of people love this particular lotion FOR its scent so if you are sensitive to strong fragrances like I am, I would highly suggest trying to get a little sniff before you make your purchase haha because both scents definitely linger on the skin for hours after application.

Both lotions are super hydrating, get absorbed into the skin within minutes and don't leave behind a greasy residue, which my impatient brain loves! I love that I can get dressed right away and won't get any product on my clothes.

One of my top favourite things about these lotions is how long they keep my skin hydrated. I would say I have normal/slightly dry skin and when applied at night, it keeps my skin hydrated all night until I shower the next day! And my skin feels super soft and smooth. Ngl, this lotion, paired with freshly shaved legs, got me feeling like I'm floating through clouds haha! And who doesn't want to feel like they're floating through clouds?! But if you have super dry skin however, I would recommend trying something heavier like Vaseline's body lotions.

Another thing that I love about these lotions is that they are 100% cruelty free and do not have any harmful chemicals in them. The older I get, I find myself getting more and more into products with more natural ingredients and a shorter ingredient list because come to think of it, your skin is your largest organ and I think it's so important to pay attention to what you're applying on it as it WILL get absorbed into your body.

Speaking of protecting your skin, this lotion contains an SPF of 10 and Iris Garden claims that it can help prevent sunburns but that's definitely not enough guys and I would recommend applying a separate sunscreen of at least spf30 or more if you plan on staying out in the sun and do not want to risk any sun damage or sunburns. Iris Garden also claims that these lotions can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars and will brighten your skin but personally, it made no such difference to my skin besides leaving it feeling gloriously hydrated.
