How has your week been? I apologize for not being as active as I planned to be this month, with the blog posts and the tutorials. There is just a lot going on with my paintings business and I'm constantly trying to find a good routine where I can balance both of my passions; makeup and art. Anyways! I am here today with an exciting tutorial perfect for Christmas as it literally has all of the shades that reminds everyone of Christmas! Green, Red, Gold and Glitter! Even though glitter isn't a shade haha! So let's get right to it!
Here's what you'll need:
Step 1
Blend the matte green eyeshadow into the inner half of your crease as shown below. I am going to say it right here! This tutorial made me realize I hate matte green eyeshadow with a passion haha! It's so hard to blend out, and then when I blended it into the red later on, it turned brown, the way paint does so yes, I can understand Nikkietutorial's hate for green eyeshadow now!
Step 2
Blend the matte red eyeshadow into the outer half of your crease and blend it into the green we used in step 1.
Step 3
Using a concealer/primer or whatever you are comfortable using to carve out your crease with, create a winged crease shape as shown below and set the area with a powder.
Step 4
Apply the shimmery red eyeshadow into the inner half of your cut crease as shown below. I surprisingly didn't have a shimmery red eyeshadow in my collection so I used a matte red as a base and used a shimmery rose gold shade over top to achieve the look I was after.
Step 5
Now, pack a light layer of some black eyeshadow or black eyeshadow primer on the outer half of your cut crease. This does not have to be even or perfect because we will be going over it with shadow.
Step 6
Pack the shimmery dark green eyeshadow onto the outer half of your crease, over the black we just applied and blend it into the shimmery red shadow. The first layer of matte black will be adding a great deal of depth to this dark green shadow!
Step 7
Blend the same matte red eyeshadow you used in the crease, all along your lower lashline.
Step 8
Now pat some of the shimmery gold/rose gold shadow into the inner corners of your eyes and blend it into the red on the lower lashline as well.
Step 9
If you have a green pencil or gel liner, line your lower waterline with it. And if you don't, simply dip a small damp detail brush into the matte green eyeshadow and apply it directly onto your waterline.
Step 10
This is my faourite step in this tutorial because it involves glitter haha! Apply the red glitter onto the inner half of your mobile eyelids. Next, line the edge of your cut crease with a gold glitter liner.
Step 11
Do your liner, I decided to skip winged liner for this look because I wanted the eyeshadow to do the talking! Then, curl your lashes, apply mascara. And finally, add a nice fluffy pair of falsies to complete the look!!
