How has your week been? Today I will be reviewing this cult skincare product, that everyone and their mothers seem to love and that is the Alpha-h liquid gold. This 'serum' apparently helps with any and all of your skin concerns over night, or so, I read before I made this purchase. Read below to know how it actually worked on me.

Alpha-H Liquid Gold Honest Review- Is It Really Worth the Hype?!

What Alpha-H claims..
Alpha-H Liquid Gold is a powerful resurfacing and firming treatment for diminishing wrinkles, pigmentation and sun damage.
This multi action formula is enriched with silk proteins, licorice extract and Glycolic Acid. It works to jump start the skin's metabolism, tightening enlarged pores and giving a brighter, clearer complexion.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold also makes an effective acne treatment when used in conjunction with other blemish fighting products from the Alpha H range.

Price, Packaging and Quantity..
I purchased this product from Beautybay and you get 100mls of product for $47. I believe they have changed the packaging recently but what I have is the older, dull gold colored packaging. It comes with a tight fitting cap and inside, has another lid and this secure packaging makes it a dream to travel with.

My thoughts..
You guys, Oh.My.God. When I tell you that everyone and their mothers love this product I MEAN EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHERS LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Before I purchased it, I read and watched at least 20-30 different reviews because $47 is a lot of money for one skincare product but all of these reviews seemed to be soo positive and everyone talked about the Liquid Gold like it somehow turned human and started paying their bills for them haha.

Now, I struggle with pigmentation left behind from the cystic breakouts that I get during that glorious time of the month.. sigh. So since this product claims to clear your complexion and almost works like a liquid peel, I was really excited to try it out as all of the reviews I saw said that it did wonders to their skin and I was ready to make this little investment. When I received the product, I used it every other day as recommended since it is 'apparently' very harsh and I would say for the first week of using it, I felt like my skin had a subtle glow.

My pigmentation looked dark as usual but I had hope. The liquid gold is more of a toner than a serum. It is extremely thin and liquid-y, has a very faint scent and you will have to apply it with a cotton pad and swipe it around your face. There is a stinging sensation that you will experience for the first 20-30 seconds of applying it but it goes away quickly.

By the second week of using it, my skin looked the exact same and the third week passed, same, and then I decided to use it more often, like everyday. And then I spaced out how often I use it and then I tried using it twice a day. Nothing. NOTHING happened guys. My skin was not glowing anymore, my acne pigmentation looked the exact same and it almost felt like I was applying water to my face. Water that stings for 30 seconds.

I don't understand what I did wrong or how it worked on SO many people and not on me. I feel like the glow I saw during the first week was me imagining results because I desperately wanted this to fix my skin. Sadly, it did not do anything at all and was a COMPLETE waste of money.

Would I recommend this? 
I would not recommend this at all, to literally ANYONE. Save your money and maybe try out some L'Oreal Pure clay masks, they have been helping my pigmentation a lot more than this super hyped product. I know a lot of people out there swear by this product and this review sounds like I am trying to wage war but I am so glad it works for you and I would appreciate it if you can comment below and let me know if I was somehow using it incorrectly.
