Vampy Navy Blue Gradient Smokey Eyes Tutorial

7:03 AM

Hey my loves!
How has your day been? I am here today with this super dramatic vampy navy blue smokey eyes that is a lot easier to create than it looks. Navy blue is also, one of my favourite colours! So let's get started!

Vampy Navy Blue Gradient Smokey Eyes Tutorial
Here's what you'll need:
  • Tape
  • Warm matte brown eyeshadow
  • Deep taupe/brown matte eyeshadow
  • Matte white eyeshadow
  • Matte navy blue eyeshadow
  • Black pencil liner
  • Black eyeliner(liquid/gel)
  • Mascara
  • Falsies
Step 1
Apply the tape following the angle of your lower lashline towards the tail of your brows. Leave a small little space between your lashline and the tape as we will be blending some shadows there and joining it with the shadows on the eyelids. Also, if your tape is too tacky, you can first apply it to the back of your hand before using it around your eyes to remove some of that tackiness.

Step 2
Blend the warm matte brown eyeshadow into your crease and a little above it. Next, blend the taupe eyeshadow into your crease and slightly diffuse the edges into the warm brown shadow. Adding this second, deeper shadow in the crease adds some extra depth which looks great especially when you're working with dark shadows.

Step 3
Apply the white eyeshadow into the inner half of your eyelids and blend the top edges in the crease out.

Step 4
Blend the navy blue eyeshadow into the outer half of your eyelids. Start from where we've applied the tape and carefully blend it into the white we just applied and once again, blend the edges out in the crease.

Step 5
Remove the tape and wipe off/clean up any fallout. I had a ton of eyeshadow fallout that I wiped off but can we just take a moment to appreciate how satisfying it is to peel off the tape and see a clean line of shadow haha.

Step 6
Blend the navy blue eyeshadow all along your lower lashline and then join it with the blue shadow on the eyelids, on the outer corners.

Step 7
Do your winged liner and apply mascara. I decided to do a bold inner corner wing as well as line my lower waterline with a black pencil liner. I somehow forgot to take photos of this step guys! :/

Step 8
And finally, pop on some dramatic false lashes! I feel like the lashes add the perfect finishing touch to this dramatic vampy look! And you're done loves!
