Glowy Smokey Eyes for Brides (Wedding/Prom/Event makeup tutorial)
11:23 AMHey guys!
I've been wanting to create a look like this for a long time now. So glad I finally did it! I'm so in love with how it turned out<3 It looks so bomb in photos which is super important for brides or if you plan on wearing it to an event! This is a bit of a lengthy slightly advanced eyeshadow tutorial but haha I've deciphered it as much as possible in hopes that it will be easy enough for you to follow! I hope you enjoy it too!

What you'll need:
- Warm matte brown eyeshadow
- Brick red eyeshadow
- Dark cool toned brown eyeshadow
- Rose gold shimmery eyeshadow
- Champagne shimmery eyeshadow
- Gel liner or creamy waterproof pencil liner
- Nude pencil liner
- Mascara
Step 1
PRIIME!! Prime your eyelids! If you are a bride, you'll want this look to last you all day and all night and even through some crying.
Step 2
Blend the warm matte brown eyeshadow all over your eyelids including the crease and a little above it.
Step 3
Pat the rose gold shimmery eyeshadow on the inner half of your eyelids.
Step 4
Blend the same matte warm brown shadow we used all over the lid previously, on the outer half of your eyelids and into the crease again. This to make sure the next shade we apply, applies smoother and to also blend the edges of the rose gold eyeshadow out!
Bridal makeup tutorial |
Blend the dark cool toned brown eyeshadow into the outer half of your eyelids. And make sure you reeeally blend it out and make it look smokey! We are not going for a v shape with our eyeshadow today. Just a really soft diffused look.
Wedding/prom makeup |
Apply the shimmery champagne shade into the inner corners of your eyes. You can use your fingers for this to get maximum payoff from your eyeshadow and you also have a lot of control when using your fingers. This step really makes the eyes look more awake and bright!

Blend the same warm matte brown eyeshadow onto your lower lashine. If you have very cool toned light/pale skin, after blending the warm shadow, you can slightly tap your brush into the cool toned dark brown shade and blend it right over the warm shade to neutralize it a little bit. This is because on very light skin, using warm brown or pink shades under the eyes can sometimes make you look a bit sick.
Step 8
Using a small pencil brush, you want to get some black or dark brown eyeliner and wipe the excess off and push the colour into your lashline. From the top of your upper lashline and also from the bottom. What you're doing in this step is making sure no skin is showing through your eyelashes. This also makes your lashes look super full!
Next, line your upper lashline the way you normally would but smudge the liner out before it dries! So you don't get a stark black winged liner look.

Curl your eyelashes and apply a good few coats of waterproof mascara! Next, line your lower waterline with a nude eyeliner pencil. Aaand you're done!
Pictorial for more understanding haha!
