Hey my loves!
How has your week been? I am back today with a new skincare product review!! I have been trying out the strawberry body yogurt from The Body Shop over the past few months and finally feel like I have all my thoughts sorted out! So let's get started! Keep reading to learn everything you will need to know about this Body Shop Body Yogurt and if you need it in your life or if you should SAVE THAT COIN!
What Body Shop Claims..
The new, lightweight formula absorbs instantly and provides up to 48 hours of moisture. Apply to damp skin straight after showering for skin that feels smoother and never sticky, with the scent of sweet, juicy strawberries. The gel-cream is 100% vegan, enriched with strawberry juice and Community Trade organic almond milk from Spain.
Price, Packaging and Quantity..
The Body Shop body yogurts come in a simple plastic tub with a lid that secures tightly making it great for travel and you get a good 198g of product for $16/2600/-LKR. The container however, is quite bulky but then again, all body yogurts and body butters come in larger pots and similar containers.
My thoughts..
You guys! I have this on right now and I wish, I WISH you could smell it through this blog post. It has the most relaxing, fruity but non overpowering scent! The scent does however wear off in about an hour and after that, it leaves behind a very faint scent that lasts until you wash it off.
I just HAD to start off this review talking about the scent of this product because honestly, I would love to have a body spray with a similar scent and even a room spray. It's beautiful! If you are someone who is sensitive to fragrance in skincare products, I would suggest you take a quick sniff in the store before you make your purchase!
But speaking of the formula and the product itself, it has a very light, airy texture. I think calling this product a body yogurt is very appropriate haha because that's literally what it feels like. Also, I must include, make sure you store this away from sunlight or high heat areas as it WILL melt!
If you have normal or slightly dry skin, this is a GREAT body moisturizer. However, if you have extremely dry flaky skin or if you live in colder weather OR if you're looking for a moisturizer to use after shaving etc., I would suggest you get something thicker like a body butter or a heavier cream as this product is not going to provide that intense hydration you are after. The Body Shop does claim that this product is going to provide you with 48H moisture and personally, I feel like that might be a bit of a stretch 'cuz it's a very light formula and your skin will drink this up quickly.
But since the weather in Sri Lanka is almost always humid and warm, I find this to be the perfect moisturizer for my normal skin. It absorbs like a dream within just a few minutes and does not leave behind a greasy residue which are two things I always look for in similar products. I hate the feeling of putting on moisturizer after a shower and then throwing my clothes on, only to feel sticky because my moisturizer needs a whole lifetime to sink in.
Pros..
Cons..
Would I recommend this?
I most definitely would guys! If you're looking for a lightweight body moisturizer for everyday use, you're going to love this! Oh and did I mention that it's vegan!?

Sigma Warm Neutrals Volume 2 Eyeshadow Palette Genuine Review and Swatches + UPDATE (Where Have I Been!?)
Hi my loves!
How has your week been? *If you've been wondering where I have been over the past three months, make sure you scroll all the way down because I have updates for you!*
However, I am here today with a review and swatches of the super famous Sigma Warm Neutrals Volume 2 palette that has been around for quite a while now and is loved by many! Sigma was kind enough to send me this palette as well as a few of their brushes and three other items to try out. But I want you guys to know that that does not affect my review at all. If I like a product I'm gonna tell y'all about it and if I dislike a product sent to me, IMMA LET Y'ALL KNOW because I want to help all of you save as much money as possible! 'Cuz lets be real! Makeup is Expensive!! Haha so let's get started with the review guys!!
What SIGMA claims..
Indulge in 12 rich, warm hues that compliment you in smooth, long-wearing formulas. The sequel to our best-selling Warm Neutrals Palette.
Price, Packaging and Quantity..
This palette costs $39 and you get 13.43g of product. You can purchase it via Sigma's website or also on Beautybay and have it shipped to you no matter where you live in the world! They also gave me a discount code 'THEVEILEDARTIST' that you can use to get 10% off your order!!
This palette comes with a decent sized, great quality mirror and has sleek black packaging with magnetic closure. The matte black packaging of this palette however, is not something I'm crazy about because it gets dirty so quickly! This palette has been in my everyday makeup kit ever since they sent it to me and I had to give it a proper wipe down with a makeup wipe before taking all these photos because it was COVERED in eyeshadow and finger prints and looked like it has been used for a 100 years haha!
My thoughts..
As I said a few scrolls ago, this palette has been a part of my everyday makeup kit ever since I got it and that's because I ABSOLUTELY love it you guys!! The matte shadows blend like a dream and the shimmer shadows are super soft and easy to pick up and apply with a brush or your fingers.
The shadows are all super pigmented and also don't seem to have a crazy amount of fallout. The only shade that you may run into trouble with is FOOL'S GOLD and that is because of all the chunky glitter particles in this shadow. To work with this, I simply dampen a brush with water(I KNOW!) and then pick the shadow up and it applies LIKE BUTTER while still keeping that intense shine!
They're super long wearing and stay put until I decide to take it off at the end of the day and incase you're wondering, I only use my foundation/concealer to prime my eyes, nothing fancy! I feel like this palette has the most wearable eyeshadow shades possible not just because of the neutral tones but also because you can literally create anything from a day time, work appropriate look all the way to a sultry smokey look for night time using just a few shades! I do however wish it had a matte black eyeshadow in there because then, this would THE MOST PERFECT palette to me. And that's simply because I use matte black shadow often, to line my lashline when I'm not feeling liner or if I feel like black liner is too harsh for day time wear.
If you're someone who is afraid of black shadow or if you have a medium to light skin tone and feel like black always looks too harsh on you, then the shades AFTER HOURS (dark brown) or RUSSET(burgundy) will be more than perfect for you to add some depth and darkness to your look when you need it.
The shades..
Humble - Warm, antique white almost-matte
Perfect for setting your concealer or primer before applying eyeshadow and for medium-dark to deep skin tones, this is a great matte highlight for the brow bone!
Charmer - Ballet pink frost
Beaming - Gold-pink champagne shimmer
Toasty - Golden beige
This is also a great shade to set your primer/concealer with if you have medium-dark to deep skintones and a beautiful transition shade for light skintones!
Bittersweet - Bright copper shimmer
Henna - Milk-chocolate raspberry matte
Iconic - Brown-burgundy shimmer
Rogue - Bold, berry red matte
Passion Fruit - Crisp, neutral pink matte
Russet - Smokey eggplant with fine pink glitter
After Hours - Deep and smokey, warm matte brown
Great for adding depth in the outer corners, crease or can even be used as liner!
Fool's Gold - Gunmetal with intense gold glitter
Pros..
All shadows are pigmented and smooth
Has a decent sized mirror
Travel friendly due to size
All shades are super wearable so you'll get good use out of this palette
Cons..
Slightly pricey
Would I recommend this?
I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a beautifully pigmented, neutral palette. Especially if you are someone who does not wear a lot of makeup, or doesn't like experimenting with crazy colours, I feel like this eyeshadow palette is all you need because it has great matte shadows to set and prime your eyelids and pigmented shimmers for when you need a little pop and also two deeper shades for some drama!

WHERE HAVE I BEEN!? (UPDATE)
HOWWW have all of you been? If you don't follow me on instagram you probably assumed I'm dead by now because I haven't posted on here in ALMOST THREE MONTHS now, which is probably the longest I have gone without making a blog post!! The reason I was MIA for so long was because life kept getting in the way and I could never find time to sit down and make a tutorial or a review post and so, instead of writing rushed and poorly researched reviews just to keep the content coming, I decided to stop and come back when I finally have time and space to concentrate and make these blog posts that I love so much! I do however sometimes manage to find time to do makeup looks and I have been posting those on instagram and all of y'all that follow me there, seem to be loving it!! So if you don't follow me on there, you reeeally should! Just saying.. haha. I am super active on there!
I also decided a few months back that I wanted to do more creative looks on my instagram and look at the platform as more of a place where I can share my artistic makeup creations, rather than it just being an extension of my blog. That way, I have the freedom to really explore colours and makeup techniques that isn't grocery-shopping-makeup-look-friendly if you know what I mean. I haven't seen anyone wear specs of glitter and a double cut crease in their everyday life or to work and if YOU do, MORE POWER TO YOU haha!
But I have done COUNTLESS of those beautiful blended looks here on my blog and you can simply go to the the TOP-RIGHT CORNER of this page to find the search bar and type in TUTORIALS to find alllll of them in one page! And I probably will be doing many of those in the future, here on my blog as well as on my youtube! I had the TIME OF MY LIFE filming and editing my last tutorial! If you haven't watched that, I'm going to link it right here so you can check it out!!
But for now, I'm just super happy to be back here with this review of the SIGMA warm neutrals volume 2 eyeshadow palette! I have so many more products that I have been testing and trying out over the past few months that I'm so excited to review and swatch for you guys so that you can save your money on products that absolutely do not work and also find more affordable products that work like a dream! I love you and miss you guys so much and can't wait to make new content for y'all!!
Thank you so much for reading!
Have a great day and take care,
Zaha.

Easy First Date/Date Night Makeup Tutorial - Only 6 steps - Bronzey Rose Gold Smokey Eyes
Hey my loves!!
How has your day been? I have a little update for you about where I'm at and where I've been and it's at the very end of this post!! So make sure you read all the way because I've planned to make some changes around here! Anyways, I'm finally back here today with a new tutorial! I feel like this look is perfect for a first date because it is SO simple yet so pretty at the same time. Plus it doesn't involve lashes and is perfect for beginners haha! Let's get started!!
Here's what you'll need:
Step 1
Blend the matte brown shadow all over your mobile eyelids and into your crease.
Step 2
Pat the bronze eyeshadow onto your mobile eyelids and blend the edges in the crease.
Step 3
Using a small detail brush or an angled brush, line your upper lashline with the matte black eyeshadow. The reason I recommend you line with eyeshadow and not liquid or gel eyeliner for this look is because lining with eyeshadow adds beautiful soft definition and only requires minimal blending!
Step 4
Blend the same matte brown eyeshadow you used in the crease all along your lower lashline and then, line your lower waterline with a nude eye pencil.
Step 5
Next, tap some shimmery rose gold eyeshadow on the center of your eyelids and also apply it into the inner corners of your eyes with a smaller brush or your finger.
Step 6
If you feel like the previous step messed up your liner, you can now go back in with a little more black eyeshadow to intensify your liner. Curl your lashes, apply mascara and you're done loves!! Scroll down for the full pictorial, products used list and my little update!

Pictorial..
Thank you so much for reading my loves and I hope you found this tutorial helpful! Especially since Valentine's Day is just around the corner! If you recreate this look or any of my other looks, you can always tag me @theveiledartist on Instagram to show me your recreations! I'm super active on there!
Update, WHERE have I been!?
So guys, on the very first of January I uploaded a Sultry Glittery cut crease look and then a week later, I reviewed the Colourpop Makeup Your Mind Palette but soon after that, I decided to take a little mental health break because I was just feeling so overwhelmed with work and blogging. It was meant to only be a week long but somehow an entire month went by where I didn't do any tutorials or reviews on here and I ended up getting quite busy with my Art/Painting business for most of January as well.
But guys! I've decided that I want to do more video tutorials than pictorials and I also have a new set up in mind. Hopefully it will work out the way I want it to haha. Videos take an absolute lifetime to film and edit but I'm excited about it! Hopefully you guys will find the videos to be more helpful than the pictorials because you can see the steps in real time. I will be uploading the tutorials on my Youtube guys so please subscribe!! The channel name's The Veiled Artist just like with this blog and all my social medias. And I hope you guys are as excited as I am about it!
Take care my loves,
Zaha.
