How are you feeling today? It has been a while since I did a good 'ol product review so that's what I'm here with today! It's going to be a review on the Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks in the shades Sandstorm, Mocha-licious and Stoplight Red!

Price, Packaging and Quantity..
You get a good 3.3g of product for $2.50(450LKR)! That's probably the most affordable drugstore lipstick price tag I have ever seen in my life! The lip color or rather the lipstick, comes in standard packaging. It has a black glossy twist up tube and a clear lid with the wet n wild logo on it and the shade names are available at the bottom of the tube. The lid shuts quite securely and will not pop open in your makeup storage while traveling.

I have two solid complaints about the packaging of these lipsticks but considering how much these cost, I shall keep my mouth shut haha. Complaint one is that the lipstick bullet doesn't fully twist into the tube so you have to be careful when opening or closing the slightly tight lid to avoid jabbing the lipstick with the lid. We all know how annoying that can be, when you have lipstick all smudged on the product lid!

Complaint two is that, after accidentally dropping the Sandstorm shade just twice, the entire product came out of the tube! Like the whole bullet haha! But as I said before, it's so inexpensive, you can't really expect anything packaging wise so.. I actually bought a new Sand Storm lipstick! haha I have included pictures of my old one to show you what I mean about the smudging and the breaking!

My thoughts..
To be honest, I didn't really have many expectations for this lipstick. I initially bought just the shade sandstorm because I saw swatches of it on pinterest and thought that would be a nice peachy nude shade on my skintone. But I fell so in love that I repurchased Sandstorm('cause it broke haha) and two more new shades!

The product is absolutely amazing! It's got a semi matte finish, is super pigmented, easy to apply and glides on the lips but since it has a slightly waxy texture, it doesn't slip around too much, which will come in handy if you live in humid weather. All my cream lipsticks just transfer horribly when I wear them on a warmer day and this just stays put. Speaking of staying power, I love that wet n wild is being very honest here and not claiming a crazy 24 hour wear! They say it lasts for about 4 hours and that's exactly how long it lasts on me before I feel like I have to touch up to bring back the initial intensity!

It wears off a bit sooner if you're having proper meals but it wears off gracefully! Doesn't just leave you with a huge bare patch on your lips, instead, the colour just fades off. So even if you forgot to bring your lipstick with you for touch ups, I think you can definitely get away with it by blending the edges with your fingers. But if you do reapply, even though it is a semi-matte finish, it layers beautifully and doesn't bunch up! Isn't this lipstick just a dream? haha. It has a slightly waxy scent when first applied but that quickly wears off.

1. The shade Stoplight red is a gorgeous blue based red! The kinda red that makes your teeth look white haha. But I prefer slightly deeper reds on me so I pair it with a deeper lip liner and it's perfect! 
2. Mocha-licious is a deep cool toned mauve shade. Very comparable to MAC's whirl in all of the swatches I have seen. 
3. Sandstorm will appear orange/warm brown/caramel or peachy depending on your skintone. I have medium deep skin and it shows up as a nice peachy nude shade on me.

I made a conscious effort to make the swatches below look as close to the actual product colour as possible!

Pros..

• True to claims
• Very pigmented
• Great shade range with upto 26 shades!
• Super affordable

Cons..

• Has a waxy scent when initially applied

Would I recommend this?
I would a 100%!! It's an amazing amazing drugstore lipstick that's great if you're tight on $$ but still want great quality lipsticks, or if you want to test out different shades with your skintone to find what works for you, because if it's not 'your shade', you've only wasted $2.50! OR it's great if you're like me and just enjoy trying out different lipsticks haha. Either way, I wholeheartedly recommend these!
