Hey my loves!
Oh wow I have missed this! I took the entire week off last week because I was feeling so tired! Physically and mentally. But I'm so glad I took that break because now I'm all inspired and motivated. Today I wanted to create a really easy look suitable to wear to work, interviews or if you skip the liner and just do mascara, it may even be quick enough for school! So let's get started!!

Hello everybody!!
I fiiinally created a tutorial! I've been waiting to create a Sunset Inspired look for almost a week now! But the weather has been crazy unpredictable in Sri Lanka. It would be really hot and bright and then 10 minutes later the light would be cool toned so the struggle has been real since I work with natural lighting. Anyways! I hope you enjoy the tutorial:)

Hey guys!
Today I will be reviewing the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. The one I got is suitable for all skin types(pink cap). I believe they have a version that removes waterproof makeup(blue cap) and another one for oily skin(green cap).

Hey guys!
I hope you've had a great day so far. Today I have a quick review of the LA Girl eyeliner pencil in white.
LA Girl Eyeliner Pencil Review and Swatches |
Hey my loves!
How was your weekend? Today I will be reviewing the LA Girl Matte Pigment Lipglosses in Secret and Bazaar.
What LA Girl claims..
Blurring the lines between lipstick and lip gloss, Matte Pigment Gloss has become a favorite of makeup artists, bloggers and fans. Available in 16 bold shades that provide rich and intense color in a flat finish for all day wear. The long wearing formula goes on as a highly pigmented liquid and dries to a flat matte finish, for a gorgeous velvety perfection that last and lasts.
Price, Quantity and Packaging..
Each gloss costs $6(900LKR) and you get 5g of product. The product is packaged like every other liquid lipstick. I love the applicator on this! I feel like it's a little sturdier and firmer.
But I have to add, even though you can kind of see the colour of the product through the packaging, I find that the colour you see isn't really accurate. The shade bazaar is a lot more bright when applied compared to the shade it looks like in the packaging and Secret is a lot darker than it's colour in the packaging.
The cap with the applicator screws on very securely and tightly making this great for travel. It will not pop open like regular lipsticks like to do sometimes and then you find yourself staring at the insides of your purse that looks like a five year old used your lipstick as crayon and drew a fun art project.
My thoughts..
First of all I don't really know why LA Girl included the word 'gloss' in this product's name. It's a matte liquid lipstick you guys. There's nothing glossy about them at all! They take about two minutes to fully dry and are super pigmented! And I feel like since a little goes a long way, the 5g of product you get will last you a long time!
The formula is creamy and easy to apply. But when it dries, Lord is it matte! I have normal lips, they're not really dry and these lipsticks definitely emphasize all of the lines on my lips. But I feel like that's the price you have to pay if you want to rock matte lips.
I am yet to try a matte liquid lipstick that isn't drying. They're long lasting but do wear off from the inner parts of your mouth if you're eating.
The shade Secret is my fav out of the two. It's a gorgeous deep red shade! It is really easy to top up as well. I've tried liquid lipsticks that bunch up and peel when you want to top it up, but the shade Secret does not do that. It looks freshly applied when you reapply.
And the shade Bazaar is a neon pink shade on me. I looked at a lot of swatches online when deciding which shades I want to try and Bazaar looked like a gorgeous nude-ish pink shade. Haha but I see zero nude pink when I wear Bazaar on my NC44 skintone.
I only see a very loud, screaming NEON pink shade. But it looks great on much lighter skintones! Also, I don't know if this is because Bazaar isn't the shade for me, I feel like the formula is drier compared to Secret. I've tried to use a nude lipstick over this to tone it down a little and it just looks horrid and my lips look extra wrinkly!
Pros
Would I recommend this?
Definitely give it a shot! I suggest you try swatching the shade you want to buy if you're able to or look at a lot of swatches online before buying them. Don't trust the colour you see in the packaging.

Hey guys,
How is everyone doing? So I've been getting really inspired seeing all these art like eye makeup
looks on instagram so I thought I'd try it and put my own spin on it and
this is what I came up with.
Hey guys!
Today I have a review I've been meaning to do for a while!! And since I finally got the brushes I ordered in the mail today, let's get started!
I feel makeup brushes and tools are just as important as the products you use when it comes to makeup.
What I look for when buying makeup brushes..
I started buying brushes from ebay about 4 or 5 years ago and as much as I loved them, the set didn't contain any fluffy blending brushes. But now, I feel like the manufacturers have come a long way! And you're able to get amazing quality brushes at an insanely affordable price! These have never shed and the glue has never worn off. Even the brush handles feel super sturdy and not cheap and flimsy.
The two gold brushes I have shown below, I have had for about a year and half now and I've washed them countless times! And the rose gold brushes, I received today and are brand new. They all look like they were all bought today don't they?
However I only suggest you buy eye makeup brushes and powder brushes on ebay. When it comes to a flat top/kabuki brush, you're better off getting a real techniques, eco tools or morphe brush as the thicker brushes from ebay tend to shed a lot.
Let's take a look at all the brushes you get in this set!
The seller I got the brushes from was called 'topwardrobe2014' and you can find them here or here's another great set.
Don't get sets like these because they don't have proper blending brushes and I find the brushes aren't as soft.
Get sets that include blending brushes like these!
Thank you so much for reading!
Take care. -Zaha

What I look for when buying makeup brushes..
- Soft
- Sturdy
- They need to be densely packed and have zero shedding.
- Affordable
- Not made of animal hair

Let's take a look at all the brushes you get in this set!
- You get a massive dome shaped blending brush. Great for blending shadow all over the lids.
- A narrow angled brush that's great for doing your brows, eyeliner. I even use it for lipstick to get clean lines.
- This kind of flat brush is great for packing on colour on the eyelids!
- The pencil brush can be used to apply colour to the lower lashline or blend and smoke out eyeliner.
- This lip brush is the only brush in the set that I probably won't be reaching for because the hairs are so sparse.
- Perfect for blending out shadows all over eyes, Especially in the crease.
- And you get two more slimmer flat shader brushes. I love using these for concealer or cleaning up winged liner with concealer or makeup remover. Ooh they're also really nice to pack on glitter eyeshadows if you don't want to use your fingers.

Hey everyone!
I'm back today! Wasn't feeling too well yesterday, probably because it's been insanely warm here in Sri Lanka and having the air conditioner on all day drives me crazy. It's so drying. Anyways! Today I will be reviewing the Constance Carroll Lip Liner in the shade Midnight Rouge. I reviewed some lipsticks from the same brand about a week ago! You can see that post here (Spoiler: they're bomb!)
Price and Packaging..
It costs 350LKR($2.5 approx). This liner doesn't have to be sharpened and the product twists up. Which I love! Because I'm forever looking for my sharpeners haha. But I also feel like these type of lip liners and eyeliners that don't have to be sharpened contain lesser product than a conventional pencil liner. But for this crazy affordable price tag, I have zero complaints.
My thoughts..
I love this product! Just like I loved their lipsticks! The shade Midnight Rouge is a deep berry colour. I actually remember testing and loving a more mauvy pink shade and when I asked for the same shade, I was given this and I was in such a rush I just bought this and realized when I got home that it's a completely different shade. Haha I have too many deep red/berry lip products! But I love them!
The lip liner is super creamy! And barely tugs on the lips when applied. They're also extremely pigmented and can be used all over the lips and you don't even need a lipstick. It does wear off after a meal but that's because it's quite smooth and creamy for a lip liner. It can be reapplied and looks great. It is also not drying at all! Which is rare for a lip liner. Overall, it's a wonderful lip liner.
Pros
none
Would I recommend this?
Yesss!! Definitely try this out if you can get your hands on it. Especially if you live in Sr Lanka, you can find Constance Carroll lipsticks and lip liners everywhere. Even in clothing stores! I also think this is a great product for any makeup artists starting out because they're so affordable, pigmented and don't have to be sharpened.
Thank you so much for reading!
Take care.

Hey guys!
How was your Sunday? Today I will be reviewing the Collection 2 Intense Blush Quad from City Color Cosmetics.
What City Color claims..
City Color Intense Blush Quad comes with four smooth, pigmented blushes in one convenient palette. With four completely different collections each based on one color theme, find your favorite and always have options to match your day!
Price, Packaging and Quantity..
This quad costs $7.99(1200LKR) on the website but you can find it for as low as $4.99! I was able to get it for $5.99(900LKR) on ebay and you get 2.8g of product in each compartment so that's 11.2grams of product. That's a lot of product you guys!! You get a double sided sponge applicator, the kind that comes in a lot of eyeshadow palettes and a little built in mirror. The mirror is so small, you can only see a part of your cheek.
My thoughts..
These quads come in 4 collections and I chose Collection 2 which has orange-coral shades. The shades are absolutely stunning and insanely pigmented! Perfectly suited to their name 'intense' blush quad.
Top to bottom
But what's worse than that is even though it looks amazing in the pictures, the blushes are very powdery. They are also 'too pigmented'! Yes guys! When it comes to blush too much pigment is actually a problem.
I barely tapped my brush in the product and when I applied it to my face, the product was so pigmented that it just stuck onto my skin and wouldn't blend out. And later when I tried to remove it, I noticed it had stained my cheek. And keep in mind I applied this to a powdered face. My face couldn't have been any smoother! I'm quite bummed out about this because the shades are so beautiful!
Pros
Cons
Would I recommend this?
I wouldn't. I actually use these as transition shades on my eyes sometimes. They're perfect for that. But if you have a chance to swatch these before you try them, I suggest you do that because this palette seems to be working well for everyone other than me haha.
Take care everyone!

City Color Cosmetics Intense Blush Quad Collection 2 swatches |
- first shade is a gorgeous slightly shimmery bronze
- second is an almost red orange shade
- third shade is a bright orange shade
- and fourth is a pretty coral pink
But what's worse than that is even though it looks amazing in the pictures, the blushes are very powdery. They are also 'too pigmented'! Yes guys! When it comes to blush too much pigment is actually a problem.
City Color Cosmetics Intense Blush Quad Collection 2 Review and swatches |
Even after blending harshly with my fingers, the colour refused to look diffused and blended. |
- Super pigmented
- Great shade range
- Affordable
- Cruelty free
Cons
- Product too pigmented
- Not blendable
- Very difficult to open
- Sponge applicator and mirror are absolutely pointless because they're both too small

Hey guys!
I'm here today with a tutorial on this gorgeous emerald green smokey eyes with a pop of royal blue on the lower waterline.
Here's what you'll need:
Step 1
Blend the green matte eyeshadow into the crease and into the outer v of your eyes. This will be our transition shade.
Step 2
Apply the gorgeous shimmery emerald green eyeshadow onto your mobile eyelids and blend the edges out into the matte green eyeshadow we first applied. (tip: Shimmer shadows are best applied with finger tips for maximum pigmentation)
Step 3
Line your lower waterline with the black eyeliner pencil.
Step 4
Also, add some black liner under your lower lashline and smudge it out.
Step 5
Blend the blue eyeshadow over the areas we smudged the black pencil eyeliner.
Step 6
Line your upper lashline with the black pencil eyeliner and smudge it out with your fingers or a pencil brush. Extend this line and join it with the blue from the lower lash line.
Step 7
Curl your lashes and apply mascara. I added a pair of falsies as well! And you're done!
Pictorial!
I hope you try this look out!
Take care everyone!
